Requirements
Active
Member
- 3 semesters of
coursework completed.
- Cumulative biological
GPA of 3.0.
- Paid membership dues
(local -$15/sem or $25/yr., and National - $45 one time fee for lifetime
membership).
- Attend at least 2
events/ semester (events can be meetings, social activities, volunteer
activities, etc.)
Associate
Member
- Open to anyone with an
interest in biological sciences!
- Paid membership dues
- Attend at least 2
events/ semester (events count as: meetings, social events, volunteer,
etc.)
What we
need turned in (to room 124 Birge Hall-biology majors office) before you can
be inducted (for both active and associate members)
- Transcript
- Your name written
clearly (or typed) on a sheet of paper with how you want it on your
certificate
- Your permanent and
local UW address written out so we know where to send the invitations to
- A check made out for
the appropriate amount of member dues: Active member-$45 check made out
to Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society (if you have already paid your
member dues for this semester, then we just need the $30 check)-- this
covers the $30 one time fee to the national organization and the $15/sem
fee for our club, Associate member-$15 check made out to the Tri-Beta
Biological Honor Society (unless you have already paid your dues for
this semester).
Your t-shirt size
